This carrot is a robust, creamy-white Chantenay variety, known for its broad shoulders and extended storage capabilities. Its origins are believed to trace back to Afghanistan; however, its survival in European markets can be attributed to rural women farmers in Kuttiger, Switzerland, for over three centuries. This particular carrot is relatively undemanding and easy to cultivate.
